Chair of the Governing Body
''I have a long association with Tany’s Dell School, as I visited regularly in my role as Gifted and Talented Co-Ordinator at Burnt Mill School, where I organised enrichment activities in our feeder primaries. When I retired in 2006, Val Jones asked if I would join the Governing Body and I became Chair two years ago. When I am not in Tany’s Dell, I spend my time mainly gardening and singing. I love the theatre and spending time with my three grandchildren"
"I have been a parent at the school for almost 6 years, when the opportunity arose to become a Governor. It is now almost three years later and I still love being a part of the Tany's Dell family. Being involved with the school makes me feel like I am investing in our children's future."
Mrs T Dobrowolski
"I have worked in Tany's Dell for the last six years in Key Stage 2 and have thoroughly enjoyed teaching all the children. It has been a delight to be a member of this creative school, watching it grow and being successful in achieving high standards for all our children. It is a very happy place to work and learn in and I am very lucky to be a part of it. I have been a governor for the last three years and have enjoyed being part of this interesting team. As a teacher governor I report on all the great things that go on in our school and it is a privilege to do so!"
Mr S Lee
"I have been a Tany's Dell Parent Governor since 2012. The role is very different from what I expected and has really opened my eyes to what it takes to run an expanding Primary School. It certainly changed my personal views and I was amazed at what really is involved to give the best education this school can provide. I currently attend the Full Governing Body meetings and recently, the Finance and Premises Committee. My background for the last 18 years has been in Sales Management within the construction industry. I have two boys. One has now left Tany’s Dell and is doing well in his chosen Senior School. The other is now in Year 5 and enjoys his school very much. It will be very sad knowing that he will be leaving soon but I am glad to know he has been given the tools to move on to his chosen Senior School. My partner is an LSA at Tany’s Dell and is currently taking sign language courses to further her career within the school."
Mr A Rivers
"I became a governor in 2015. My daughter attends the school, so I have a keen interest in supporting the staff and fellow governors, in achieving the best possible education and standards for the children. I have been a Police Officer for 17 years, and have worked in a variety of roles and specialist departments. I have gained a wide range of experience and skills throughout my career, which are of great benefit to me in contributing to the successful governance of the school. I currently sit on the Safeguarding and Behaviour Committee with the Chair of the Governing Body and Headteacher. I am also on the Finance and Premises committee."
